Twitter introduces Moments to help users keep up-to-date with the latest news.

The app will be available on iOS, Android and desktops in the US at the moment at present, Moments will be housed in a brand new lightning bolt tab accessible through the apps and accessible from Twitter. Clicking on the lightning bolt will display various news stories from the previous day, and is constantly updated. The users can also browse through specific topics like entertainment or sports to look back on a few days and read additional news articles.

In the blog article on the occasion Twitter’s product manager for Moments, Madhu Muthukumar, wrote “We are aware that finding these exclusive Twitter moments can be a struggle particularly if you’ve never followed specific accounts. However, it doesn’t have to be.”

When you click on an individual Moment will show an introduction to the story. Then, it can be tapped to reveal additional videos, images, GIFs, links, tweets, and Vines. A bar that is moving on the bottom of the page indicates the amount of information available for each story. Moments can be shared with friends and followers.
